Ian is just as fun-loving as Steve Sanders, but he's a hundred percent less pretentious. He can play someone who's obnoxious and egocentric without being that way in reality at all. Like all the guys in the show, Ian is taking his success really well. There's a strong camaraderie among the guys and none of this "Ho-hum, another hit show."

Ian is great at playing the buffoonishness of a Beverly Hills socialite. "This is my turf, my mom's a big star, I know everything that's going down." That's Steve. Ian doesn't have any of that high-and-mighty manner. He does have Steve's energy. There's a lot of Steve in Ian and a lot of Ian in Steve—though there's nothing offensive in Ian. Ian loves life. He attacks the hell out of it.
